The SONY Xperia 1 iii had already an impressive camera setup and the Mark IV has two major updates to the cameras. While the setup is similar, the selfie camera has been upgraded from 8MP to 12MP. The main camera has been built together with SONY’s camera team and features a continuous stepless zoom rarely seen in mobile phones.

All the cameras in the main setup support 4K@120fps, SteadyShot with FlawlessEye, Eye AF and Realt Time Object Tracking.

The best phone for streaming?
The SONY Xperia PRO-I saw already heavy emphasis on videography and streaming and SONY has had streamers and content creators in mind when designing the Xperia 1 IV. SONY has made an exclusive deal with Youtube allowing channel creation and streaming directly to Youtube without subscriber restrictions. For vloggers and video enthusiasts, you can also edit your videos directly on the phone without the need for a separate computer with SONY’s proprietary software. You can also stream content via 5G from SONY Alpha cameras.

Fast became even faster
The Xperia 1 mark IV boasts the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor performing up to 30% better on benchmark tests. The 4K 120Hz display is familiar from its predecessor but SONY has fixed one of the issues of the Xperia 1 iii making the IV display as much as 50% brighter.

The device is cased in Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and an aluminum frame providing excellent protection from scratches and damage and the phone is IP68 rated. The phone has a 5000mAh battery and it supports 30W fast charging capable of filling the battery to 50% in half an hour. Note that the phone does not come with a charger.
